Ahead of the 31st National “Love Your Eyes Day,” the press conference for the “2026 Youth Vision Health Initiative and Contact Lens Consumer Insights Report,” hosted by Eyebright Medical and supported by People’s Health, was successfully held in Beijing. The event was attended by nearly 100 people, including representatives from People’s Daily Online, industry and ophthalmology experts, executives from Eyebright Medical and JD Health, and representatives from multiple authoritative media outlets. The gathering focused on the current status of youth vision health and explored pathways for industry development, jointly working to plan new initiatives for the standardized, high-quality development of the eye-health industry.

Eyebright Medical, together with JD Health, released the “2026 Youth Vision Health Initiative” (referred to as the “Initiative”) targeting young people. Grounded in everyday eye care and scientific optometry and fitting, the Initiative outlines six sets of action principles:
Prevent eye fatigue and protect both eyes;
Prevent dry eye and do not use eye drops indiscriminately;
Get regular check-ups to prevent problems before they happen;
Get an optometry fitting first and follow correct fitting practices before wearing;
Choose contact lenses and prioritize safety;
Wear scientifically and care properly in a standardized manner.
Through the joint advocacy of the three parties, young people are encouraged to establish a scientific approach to eye care and safeguard their visual health.
Wearing contact lenses is one of the important ways for today’s youth to correct refractive errors. With consumer upgrading, China’s contact lens industry has moved away from extensive, scale-driven growth and entered a high-quality development stage centered on quality and compliance. In this context, Eyebright Medical and JD Health jointly released the “2026 Contact Lens Consumer Insights Report” (referred to as the “Report”). Based on substantial consumer data and industry practice, the Report examines consumer characteristics, analyzes technology trends, and helps the industry move forward steadily.
The Report shows that although demand continues to grow, during rapid industry development there remain urgent issues to be addressed, including the circulation of products through non-standard channels, potential eye health risks arising from insufficient adherence to proper wearing and use among some consumers, and occasional concerns that some marketing and promotional claims are not sufficiently rigorous. The Report emphasizes that contact lenses are a Class III medical device, and consumers’ understanding should return to medical-level standards. It calls for the standardized and professionalization of the entire chain—from research and development, manufacturing, and optometric fitting to sales.
As a leading domestic ophthalmology enterprise, Eyebright Medical has accumulated advanced technologies in precision medical devices, including intraocular lenses used to treat cataracts, corneal reshaping lenses for myopia control, and intraocular lenses for high myopia correction. The company has achieved breakthroughs in the independent development of silicone hydrogel materials and, leveraging five major technological platforms—material synthesis, optical design, precision processing, and surface modification—has led high-quality development in China’s contact lens industry. Eyebright Medical operates two contact lens manufacturing bases—Jiangsu Tianyan Pharmaceutical and Fujian Eyebright Weikang—and has a GMP-compliant R&D and manufacturing center covering over 120,000 square meters. It is equipped with multiple highly automated production lines and high-speed AOI optical inspection platforms. Under its brands—Lebleu ® (a leading Chinese medical-grade contact lens brand) and KAMIYA® (a younger-oriented color lens brand)—the company is committed to providing consumers with safer, more comfortable, and more diverse product choices.
Meanwhile, JD Health continues to improve its eye-health “new retail” model of online consultation + professional guidance + convenient purchasing + after-sales follow-up, enhancing product accessibility while further promoting standardization and compliance in the sales process.
At the event, following the release of the Initiative and the Report, Eyebright Medical and JD Health formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will focus on consumption areas such as myopia control, vision care, and sports health. By integrating their core advantages in supply chain, product innovation, and user services, they will enhance the accessibility of high-quality medical products and support the high-quality development of China’s ophthalmic medical device and sports health industries. New products from the Lebleu® and KAMIYA® brands will also be launched on JD Health’s platform.

Leveraging the important national occasion of “Love Your Eyes Day,” the 2026 Youth Vision Health Initiative and the 2026 Contact Lens Consumer Insights Report were officially released, alongside the signing of a strategic partnership with JD Health. This series of activities is Eyebright Medical’s practical step in deepening its engagement in the eye-health sector. In the future, Eyebright Medical will adhere to its development vision of “Technology Illuminates Vision,” work with partners across sectors, and advance social responsibility through technological innovation—continuously helping improve the quality and capabilities of China’s ophthalmic industry and steadily raising the public’s eye-health literacy.
